Your dog’s training must start when he reaches the age of six to eight weeks, as per the dog training advice given by experts. But if he is not trained till he becomes slightly older, you should not drop the idea of training him because training the dog is very important. It is never late to do this.

As a dog owner, you may be trying to find out the best way to train him. There are several tips that are made available by experts who give dog training advice. The most important of these tips is that you should always use positive motivation to train your dog.

Rewarding and praising your dog must be an integral part of your training process, suggest experts on dog training advice . Every time your dog performs the action of your command rightly, you must offer him a treat. This kind of positive reinforcement will help him to associate the treat with his good behavior and he will gradually start behaving only in that manner.

Experts who give dog training advice also insist that you should give firm but friendly commands. The voice you use while giving the commands must have a friendly tinge in it to make him understand that you are training him only for his good. But the voice must also be firm to suggest that he has to obey the commands and you will not tolerate any deviation in it.

If there are accidents in spite of your house training, you must not exhibit your displeasure by rubbing his nose in the soiled spot or by hitting him. Punishments like these will make him fear you and you will not be able to achieve success in training him. Experts on dog training advice always reiterate that consistency and patience are the best virtues you must possess for training your dog.

Your dog is a quick learner if you adopt positive motivation. You have to praise him profusely as soon as he exhibits a good behavior and not later. Praising him later will not have any effect but rather he will be confused why he is being praised. Rewards also must be offered immediately after his good behavior or good performance and not later. A wonderful companion as he is, you should make your job of training him easy by adopting such positive motivation only, opine experts on dog training advice. This will give you good enjoyment because the training period will solidify the bond between you and your wonderful dog.

Whether you are concerned about developing a strong bond with your new puppy or if you want to repair your relationship with an old furry friend, it is important that you get started straight away. Starting a relationship from scratch with a puppy is generally an easier task than mending or tweeking an existing relationship with your dog, but there are still a few basic ideas that you should keep in mind. Read on to learn a few tips you can use to establish and maintain a strong bond with your pooch.

The first thing you need to learn, if you don’t know already, is that your dog will view your family as his pack. Even in the wild, packs of dogs have a leader, known as the alpha. In your pack, you should be the leader; this will make your dog not only obedient to you, but loyal and respectful. It’s crucial that you include your dog in family activities, but never give him reason to believe he should be the alpha (ie: eating from your plate, taking the lead on walks or entering doorways before you, playing tug-of-war or another game where he can physically overpower you, etc.).

You must assume the air of a leader and let your dog understand that while he is a valued and loved member of your family, his place is last in the pecking order (human family members always come first). Acting as the leader will give your dog a stability he will appreciate and respect, and respect is everything when it comes to having a good relationship with your pet.

It’s also important that you show your dog that he can trust you. Trust is the fundamental element that creates a long-lasting bond and it must be maintained. One way that you can encourage your dog to trust you is by developing a steady routine that he can depend upon. You are his source of not only food and water, but it’s up to you to let him outside for play time and to do his “business.” Try to make sure he’s fed and watered around the same time everyday and let out to potty frequently. Your dog will have inherent trust in you if you prove that you are a good leader who can be depended upon to provide his basic needs.

Try to take up an activity that you and your dog can do together every day or a few times a week. Brushing your dog’s fur every night or taking him for one-on-one walks will help him feel appreciated and valued. Bath time and exercising can also be good bond-building routines. Keep your dog involved with your life every day through chores and other activities. Training is an excellent way to get your dog involved. If your dog is already housebroken, buy a set of dog stairs and train your dog to use them. Let him know that he is a cherished member of the family and you will see what a blessing the companionship of a dog can be!

There are many dog obedience training secrets that can correct undesirable dog behaviors. Many dog owners are at their wit’s end to know what is causing their dog’s bad behaviors! Being successful in changing our dog’s behavior, we must learn what the professional dog trainers know.

There are many pet behaviors that require owners to be consistent in how they train their dogs to be obedient. In order to correct them in the right way, there is a process to deal with the problem so that it never recurs.

As an example, the next paragraph addresses only one undesirable behavior that dog owners find themselves confronted with and need to respond to.

It was the first time the dog owners had left him alone. They were having dinner with a few friends. When they returned home, their dog had chewed a pillow and the corner of their sofa. They were surprised because he had not done this since he was a puppy cutting his teeth.

Why did this undesirable behavior happen? The professional’s have a name for this behavior: They call it separation anxiety. It means that he was afraid that his owners would not return because they had been gone for so long.

This was the longest period of time that they had ever left him alone. He was scared that they weren’t coming back! Dog owners need to think in this perspective every time an undesirable behavior occurs. Dog owners need to successfully identify one undesirable dog behavior at a time.

What we want to do with our pets is to try and learn about how to train our pets before we even get one. The principles of dog obedience training secrets are imperative in order to get ready for any new dog. Before you pick up a new dog, there are training methods we should know that would help the new family member to bond and accept us.

Dog grooming at home solutions are an alternative to professional grooming services, and many pet owners see it as a way of saving money. There are advantages and disadvantages about dog home grooming, since you may save money but you definitely invest time and effort in the activity. Statics show that short-haired small breeds are the most compatible with dog grooming home conditions. Any dog that requires complex grooming, special maintenance and hair cutting is better handled professionally than at home, because the owner may lack the skills to cope with the task.

Equipment could be a problem with dog grooming at home trials. Without a minimum of supplies the operation is not possible. Grinders, brushes, clippers and even a grooming table are actually considered basic. Combs and scissors are useful, although not always a necessity. Don’t forget about special shampoos and cleaning solutions. Dog grooming home practice comes with the responsibility for the pet’s health condition, therefore, don’t take it lightly.

Look for tips and suggestions to learn more about dog grooming at home challenges. Try to find out about the possibly special needs of the breed and talk to the veterinarian if you notice any injury or health problem under the dog’s coat. When left untreated or neglected because they are not noticed in time, lots of apparently harmless bumps on the dog’s hair could become real health problems. The advantage of professional grooming here is that such cases are easier to find and signal on thorough cleaning. Pay the same attention to the nails, teeth, eyes and ears as you pay to brushing and bathing.

Nail trimming is necessary at least once a month, depending on how short you cut the dog’s claws. Great care is necessary because lots of vein injuries happen when you cut nails too short. Dog grooming home care therefore requires lots of patience: you have to treat the dog gently because few pets like their paws touched. In fact, the process of nail cutting and trimming is pretty slow considering that you need to take breaks, pat and reward the dog with small treats in order to make it cooperative. In conclusion, you may save money with dog grooming home solutions, but you’ll definitely put time and effort into it. The choice is all yours!

Do You Really Need To Give Your Dog A Bath?

Pet hygiene is essential for human and animal health and wellness. Bathing makes an important stage of a dog’s grooming routine and it can be performed weekly or monthly, depending on the case. Shampoo and water are bliss and any dog grooming bath is a great occasion to brush the pet’s hair, clean its ears and eyes and trim the nails. If you don’t have basic grooming skills or you are more in favor of professional grooming services, you can pay for a dog grooming bath with a local business weekly, once or twice a month. While hair brushing ought to be performed regularly, there is no absolute rule for bathing.

A dog grooming bath can be an occasion for great fun if the pet is accustomed to bathing as a puppy. When the animal is young, it is more playful and open to new experiences; consequently, start a bathing routine as early as possible. If you adopt an older animal and you can’t handle the dog grooming bath on your own, it’s your duty to pay someone to do it. Check with local groomers for grooming and bathing services in one, because they are usually cheaper. Depending on the hair thickness and the pet size, you can pay up to $100 or even more for very large breeds.

During the dog grooming bath, high-maintenance dogs try the groomer’s skills at the maximum. The problem with home bathing is that it could be superficial sometimes and that lumps, bumps or injuries under the hair pass unnoticed. Unless you prevent matting, you’ll pay a great deal of money to get the dog’s hair untangled. Moreover, such a delicate procedure really tries the dog’s patience. There are even cases when the coat has to be shaved off to remove mats, and that is certainly not desirable at all.

To conclude, do not neglect the importance of a dog grooming bath. You can find out what shampoo or cleaning product to use by asking for the vet’s advice. And don’t overlook the importance of coat drying, given the fact that there are few chances of blowing it dry. Consequently, try to always adapt grooming decisions to your pet’s preferences and individuality!
